Cynthia Muge has embarked on a five day official program across major Australian cities including Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth. Her agenda centers on strengthening relations between Kenya and its diaspora population while encouraging structured investment back home. During her engagements, she is expected to meet Kenyans living in Australia in forums designed to explore opportunities for collective investment and improved economic participation in Kenya’s development.

A key theme in Muge’s discussions has been the growing significance of diaspora remittances, which she noted have now surpassed 5 billion dollars annually, making them Kenya’s leading source of foreign income. She has emphasized the need to move beyond individual family support and channel more diaspora earnings into long term investments such as real estate development, hospitality projects, and franchise businesses. She highlighted growing towns such as Kapsabet and Nandi Hills as areas with strong potential for structured investment and business expansion.

Meanwhile, attention has also turned to the presence of Keiyo South MP Gideon Kimaiyo in Australia, with sections of the public expressing hope that his visit will include advocacy for unresolved cases affecting Kenyans abroad.
