The development comes nearly five years after the couple separated when Daniella relocated to the United States with their children. Over the years, their relationship has remained a topic of public interest across East Africa, with many fans closely following updates about their marriage and family life.

According to reports from the mediation process, the two parties reached an agreement under the supervision of a Ugandan judge. As part of the settlement, Daniella Atim will retain custody of their five children Abba, Alpha, Amma, Alba, and Xara.

Jose Chameleone will continue to have visitation rights and has also agreed to provide monthly child support amounting to 2,000 US dollars, which is approximately KSh 258,820. The agreement is expected to provide stability for the children as both parents move forward separately.

Despite settling matters related to custody and child support, the division of property remains unresolved. The issue will now be handled by the Family Division of the High Court, where decisions regarding shared assets and property ownership are expected to be made.

Jose Chameleone, whose real name is Joseph Mayanja, remains one of Uganda’s most influential musicians and entertainers. Throughout his career, he has built a massive fan base across Africa with hit songs that dominated the East African music scene for decades.

The official separation marks the end of one of East Africa’s most high profile celebrity marriages, bringing closure to a relationship that had attracted public attention for many years.
